Prize Draws
When we collect survey data on behalf of clients we may invite participants to provide an email address if they would like to be entered into a free prize draw.
Entry to the prize draw is not dependent on completing the survey or providing personal or sensitive data.
Email addresses will be stored separately to survey responses, will not be linked to any personal or sensitive data, and will not be shared with the client or any other third party.
Participants must be aged 16 years or over to enter a prize draw. Entries from employees of the client or their families will not be accepted.
There must be one entry per person only.
All valid email addresses from genuine survey participants will be entered into the prize draw (e.g. multiple spam responses from a single source will be deleted if detected).
The date of the prize draw will be around two weeks after a survey closes. One email address will be chosen at random from all valid email addresses. We aim to contact the winner within six weeks following the draw. When the winner has received their prize we will delete all email addresses provided by participants.
Prizes generally take the form of vouchers in GB Pounds for widely used, international, online retailers. The vouchers are offered in the winner’s local currency to the same value where possible.
Our free prize draws are operated in line with guidance from relevant UK regulators, as summarised on pg. 14 of the Market Research Society guidance for incentives and prize draws.
